At last night’s Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony of the Spirit of the Hills Arts Association’s Annual Juried Show – at Belleville’s Parrott Art Gallery – juror Olex Wlasenko, curator at Whitby’s Station Gallery, presented his Juror’s Choice Award to a couple of crows in the image “Sounds of Spring” …. Yes, one of my CrowArt pieces! Being the last official exhibition on the Crows’ Farewell Tour it came as a gratifying conclusion. If still available the Gallery has it for $435. Also exhibited is my sheep in the meadow piece, ”Morning Has Broken”.
While touring may have come to a close CrowArt is still very much alive for commissions i.e. preparing images plus crows to the size required by patrons to suit a specific location. On that note, I am taking Christmas orders prior to November 29th for delivery by Dec 25th.
Marie (Alexander) and I will be holding an Open Studio between 2 and 5 on Saturday and Sunday November 23rd and 24th at 421 Greenly Road, Warkworth. In addition to a few CrowArt pieces (with Xmas discounts), Marie will have her much sort after preserves, baked goods and hand knit items for sale.
